She never fired it nor did I for the longest time. Only a few years ago I had the opportunity while at a friend's farm to fire this revolver. I was IMPRESSED to say the least. Simple to handle and easy to control not to mention accurate at 50 ft. I can't beleave I've had this gun for over some twenty plus years and never fired it to enjoy the ease and handling of this fine wepon. The only things I don't know is just how old it is (other then the 20 plus year's I've had it) or it's value.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5088364834485740535.post-62053886089769705752009-03-03T11:39:00.000-07:002009-03-03T11:39:00.000-07:00I just got a H&R .22 Sportsman 999 off layaway...I just got a H&R .22 Sportsman 999 off layaway at a local gun shop. It has a 6" barrel, with a 9-shot,top break cylinder. $130.

I just love this pistol. It reminds me so much of the ol'cowboy S&W .44 Russian. Shoots great. I think H&R handguns are underrated little treasures.I hope to pick up a S&W .38 model like yours someday.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
